CMS detector
Detect the CMS behind a website
Paste a domain to check for WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Ghost, Wix, Squarespace, and generator metadata.
Try:
What this checks
- CMS fingerprints from scripts, paths, metadata, and generator tags
- Hosting and framework clues that help explain ambiguous CMS results
- A full stack report when CMS evidence is only part of the picture
How I treat the evidence
CMS evidence is strongest when several clues agree. A generator tag alone is useful, but I do not treat it as the whole story.
Some teams remove obvious CMS clues. In that case the result should say less, not invent certainty.
Can it detect headless CMS setups?
Sometimes. A headless CMS may leave API, script, or metadata clues, but many sites hide it behind a custom frontend.
Why include hosting and headers on a CMS page?
They often explain the result. Shopify, Webflow, WordPress hosts, and managed platforms tend to leave infrastructure clues.
